That picture pretty much sums it up – it’s exagerrated without being cartoonish, you could imagine someone pulling that sort of face while laughing but it’s actually quite ridiculous and unusual. It’s the middle ground that Zombie Simpsons can’t seem to find, so they slave for either dry and charmless attempts at realistic-looking animation, or dull wackiness. Plus, the line’s hilarious. That always helps.
