God, I love that episode. Used to watch the hell out of it back in the day. In about 1992, when Channel Ten showed a pair of Simpsons re-runs once a week, I taped “Separate Vocations” and “Homer at the Bat” at the end of a recorded-off-TV “Ghostbusters.” I’m sure I still have that cassette somewhere in the deep, dark recesses of my old bedroom.
I’m certain that, for quite a long time, “Separate Vocations” was my favourite Simpsons episode.
