You know that scene where Kent is doing the play-by-play and it’s so dull, then the camera pans to the South/Latin-American announcer and he goes nuts over the same play…

I watched a game on Univision a few days ago and it was pretty much the same thing! Holey moley that announcer went nuts.

Made me look at football in a completely different way

I really like this episode, but I really don’t like the animation, especially in this frame.

It does look a bit dry. I think season 8 was the first one to use digital colouring and digital animation. It’s not as dry as season 25, but you can see that the character in the animation has been toned down a bit.

The show was using digital coloring on and off since season seven (it’s the reason why the episodes “Radioactive Man” and “Tennis the Menace” look like shit). It wouldn’t be until “Treehouse of Horror XIII” and “The Great Louse Detective” that the show would make the switch. This is still pretty much hand-drawn cels.
