Why are Party and Selma in the funeral dresses they wore on “Selma’s Choice”?

    Is this a lesbian joke?

Nah, a misandrist (someone, mostly a woman, who hates men. It’s the opposite of a misogynist) joke

Yeah, but judging by how Lisa is both scared and averting from her aunts’ bodies being shoved into her, you could say they’re trying to make her “swtich” her sexual orientation.

No, it’s just a running gag of how Patty and Selma are repugnant and any attempt at affection by them looks awkward and gross (cf. “Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire” when we first see Bart and Lisa getting groped by Patty and Selma), which is really bad considering that “Trash of the Titans” implied that Patty and Selma are sex offenders.

Oh god. Lisa’s hair, it’s so… simmetric. And not pointy at all. So round… Even her hair looks better in Season 1-2.

BTW I love how her hair looks in episodes like “Itchy & Scratchy the Movie” and “Krusty Gets Kancelled”. Well I like the animation in those episodes a lot.

I think this was an Akom episode. Their stuff is always more rounded and “on model”. The two episodes you mentioned are by Rough Draft and Anivision, respectively, and their stuff was always a little looser and wilder.

Ah, thank you. I have never bothered to figure out the studio and/or art directors behind any episode of the show, I should do it someday.
I’m sad there are no more articles about The Simpsons’ animation in this blog, because I enjoyed reading them, and the tidbits at the commentaries/DVD extras are nice too.

Is Lisa being swallowed by a Patty and Selma vagina?
