This digitally made episode has more soul in its animation than anything post-S09

Every line in this episode is gold.

Season 7 and yes most of Season 8 was the template for how The Simpsons should have continued onwards instead of a watered down Family Guy for kids, that being emphasis on the characters and why they are like they are. I think this episode was probably the most interesting Milhouse episode as he was not so pathetic like all the other episodes and it actually examined his character in which he was far more comfortable as a follower than as a potential child star, and Bart was great as well.

They could have had an entire season where every episode was devoted to one minor character’s background, that would have been a million times more entertaining than what they’re doing now.
