This phrase goes “It isn’t correct, but the soul rests” in the Latin American dub
That’s an interesting way of putting it.
This blog inspires me to look more closely into the Simpsons.
I love Bart in this gif. He kicks Homer, and then instantly stands up straight, puts his hands behind his back, and assumes a neutral but respectful facial expression. Then he tells everyone else to kick Homer too.
This is great, because it shows Barts “I didn’t do it” instinct– to proclaim innocence regardless of how guilty he clearly is. He doesn’t even hold the pose for a whole second, but it displays a lot of character for being so short.
I also love the detail of the kick causing Homer to knock his head against the TV screen. Just another little dash of humiliation on top of everything else.
