“You know, some women find bald men quite virile.” – Marge Simpson
“Marge, weren’t you listening? This is a ‘miracle breakthrough’, not one of these cheapo sucker deals.” – Homer Simpson

And the amazing thing is, it actually did work. If Homer earned just a little more money, he probably could’ve afforded to keep his new hair. Alas, it is his fate to remain broke and bald, unlike Zombie Homer who doesn’t even have to think twice (or once) about owning the latest expensive gadgets or jetting off on some high-priced vacation out of the country.
Those hair care product names are fantastic, by the way, and this is just one of them.
The more you think about a Season 1 and 2 episode, the more you believe those seasons are unfairly hated or ignored by a portion of the show’s fanbase.
Definitely. I’d argue that some of the best episodes come from season 2, but the first season has some pretty great ones too, even if the voices are off and the animation is a little rough around the edges. “Bart the General” is a good example.
My favourite bit in Season 1 is the RV salesman in “The Call of the Simpsons”. Albert Brooks makes a great job, and seriously, I don’t think I can watch that whole part without losing my shit.
“You’re not roman, are you?” He may be just a salesman doing his job, but he’s a condescending jerk just like Scorpio or Goodman.
