Now thats funny. Season 11 quote that actually makes me lol.
It’s season 11 with a season 10 production code. It’s a holdover from the previous season.
Ehh, in my opinion, this is an example of when they started to do more of the “It’s funny because it’s obviously unfunny!” forced “humor”. Obviously, there are times when that can work, but it set a bad trend both for the zombie seasons that were to come, and for other animated comedies that came after them.
Well this is about the time Homer started loudly whispering once every 2-3 episodes, right?
Yeah, probably. Didn’t that start in season 10, though?
Yeah, but by “about the time” I mean the Scully years. The show has now a very long history, and ZS is very bland, so a mere season of difference in the Zombie Simpsons era isn’t that much, relatively speaking.
What makes it work is Dan’s delivery, which makes it the perfect QOTD for his birthday.
Obviously this well would have highly diminishing returns but for now he could still knock it out of the park like McGuire hitting dingers!
The entire funeral scene is one of my favorite Treehouse of Horror moments. Them walking in with the giant grins gets me every time.
