“After extensive biological and anatomical testing, I regret to announce that the evidence we have is inconclusive. This thing may or may not be human.” – Dr. Marvin Monroe
“That’s what he thinks. I say it’s none other than Bigfoot in the flesh.” – German Scientist
“Oh, no, I disagree. I think it is a man. The eyes had a glimmer of human intelligence.” – French Scientist
“Really? A glimmer in the eyes? What about the sloping ape-like forehead?” – British Scientist
“Oh, the guys at work are going to have a field day with this.” – Homer Simpson

Kwyjibo confirmed.
And I find it funny that, for all the other times this show ripped on the French, the French scientist is the one who got it right here.
yo I know this is off topic but can one of you niggas explain the joke for me please
Sorry, forgot the link. This is the joke I’m referring to:
https://deadhomersociety.com/2012/04/15/quote-of-the-day-1115/
Can’t tell if your being serious or not.
But, the joke is that Mrs. Astor is the obvious killer, but everyone is so naive they don’t see it.
no, because Ned Flanders describes the murders at the end of the episode, stating the killer was a “jealous jockey”.
“Of course! This must be where he dropped the dagger.”
I’m not being sarcastic, I’ve googled this question and other people are trying to find the joke, too. People have presumed there is no joke and it’s just dialogue, but since it was a quote of the day obviously there’s a joke Charlie sees that people don’t.
The only joke I can maybe see is that mrs astor’s entire family was killed, so it’s slightly humorous to say she was “lucky”, but I don’t know.
can you please tell me why it’s “obvious” that she was the killer.
It’s obvious because she was the only person safe and they/you are too oblivious to make the connection. Ya read in’ way too deep into this one chief
Ned says at the end she barocated herself in the pantry.
Can you put aside your distaste for me and admit ro yourself that isnt the joke lol
According to SNPP it was a reference to a Titanic headline. Found a post about it on the old mcgarnagle website.
https://web.archive.org/web/20160324222331/http://mcgarnagle.com/2011/11/23/mrs-astor-safe/
wow I’m just so oblivious for not getting that reference right
Yes sir, it was definitely a reference to some non-funny thing no one’s ever heard of and not the obvious answer I refuse to believe. Ryan wins again!!!
Assuming this is the other guy and not the real Ryan, but you have to admit he won this one.
Hell yeah! Over analyzing basic gags wins the day again!!
There are online Simpsons fans, SNPP-types, convinced that Scorpuo was the “once” Homer saw a guy say goodbye to his shoe. So imma take this with a grain of salt, these guys are reading wayyy too much into it
Dan himself said the “SNPP type” explanation is better tho
https://uproxx.com/tv/the-simpsons-hank-scorpio-shoe-debate/2/
Well, since Dan wrote the episode, I guess he’s right. Wait…
Line was improvised by Dan. It… says it in the article.
Dan improvised a line from Ned Flanders?
Haha, you’re wrong again and have to resort to wacky non sequiturs.
Jeezus I log off for one week and forget to check in on Ryan and he’s having a mental breakdown over not getting a Simpsons gag online? I can’t take a vacation, man
(also where was the non sequitur, hard to keep up with your bs but the line about the murder was from Flanders)
No!! You’re wrong!! All of you!!! Mu superior joke comprehension skills beat you all, just look at this forum post from years ago that sort of backs me up in a questionable at best way!!!! Argue with me over cartoon gags more!!!
Okay this HAS to be the REAL Ryan, right? ;P
I feel like 90% of the people arguing with Ryan at this point are just him sockpuppetin’
